The house is located on the edge of a small nature reserve in Brenton-on-Sea near Knysna. The house was inserted within the Milkwoods with minimal impact on the natural vegetation.

The roof as well as the timber deck was designed to appear to float above the vegetation, with the timber structure of the deck as well as the second floor structure making formal reference to the Milkwood trees.

The living spaces are on the first (entrance) level, with the bedrooms below under the tree canopies.
